First 100 Sight Words | High Frequency words

Our First 100 Sight Words Set is designed in a Print font for each state and is suitable for development ranges from Pre-School / Kindy - year 1

• Each pack consists of 100 word discs (this set is the First set in our series 1-100 words)
• Each disc is created from laser etched pine, each disc is 4cm in diameter. 
• Each set includes 8 blank discs for you to add individual words of your choice

Sight word mastery is crucial for your child’s success as a reader.

Sight words are ones that cannot be easily sounded out and need to be recognised on sight. High frequency words are ones that occur very often in reading and writing.

Both sight words and high frequency words need to be recognised quickly for reading and writing to become fluent. Knowing 100 of these frequently used words gives a beginning reader about half of the words they need for reading.

Parents can assist simply by playing with your child to help them to create small sentences, playing with our sight words will help them to build the foundations needed to successfully learn to read and write. With all new activities - speed and accuracy will increase with practice.

Our timber is a natural product which makes no two discs the same - etching depth and darkness will vary between discs, this is not considered a product fault.
